The 'All Too Well' singer entertains concertgoers at Lumen Field with a performance of 'This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things' which was about her forgiving the 'Flashing Lights' rapper.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift could not hide her amusement during the Seattle stop of her "Eras Tour". While performing her Kanye West diss song "This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" onstage at Lumen Field, the "All Too Well" hitmaker was seen bursting into laughter.

The 33-year-old songstress cracked a good laugh after delivering the first verse from her 2017 track. "I can't even say it with a straight face," she continued singing after giggling. Her Saturday night, July 22 performance of the song marked the first time she sang it live since 2018.

Before chuckling hard, the "Blank Space" singer sang, "Here's a toast to my real friends/ They don't care about the he said, she said/ And here's to my baby/ He ain't reading what they call me lately/ And here's to my mama/ Had to listen to all this drama. And here's to you, cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do."

Taylor's good laugh was documented in a video uploaded via TikTok by one of her fans. Over the clip, the fan noted, "Taylor singing the bridge of 'This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things' tonight." The fan added, "She's having sm fun."

The footage from the July 22 show did not take long to be flooded with responses. In the comments section, one Swiftie wrote, "This was SUCH a fun surprise song to sing and shout and dance along to! Thank you for sharing!!!" Referring to lyrics of the song, another joined in, "She rolled her eyes SO HARD at 'here's to my baby.' "

A third further suggested, "HER LAUGH AND 'THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS' WAS SO AGGRESSIVE." Meanwhile, a fourth asked, "Anyone else think of the movie 'Just Friends' when she sang 'forgiveness'?! 'Forgiveness, is more than saying sorry' [a smiling face with tears of joy emoji]."

Although Taylor does not mention a specific person on the song and did not confirm that the single is about Kanye, many believe that she is talking about forgiving the spitter. On the song, she sings, "And therein lies the issues, friends don't try to trick you, get you on the phone and mind twist you."

The verse has been widely speculated to refer to Taylor's feud with Kanye since their conversation over the phone was recorded at a Los Angeles studio without her consent, and it was his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, who leaked the recording.
