The 'Hold It Against Me' singer doesn't blame the NBA star for the security hitting her in the face, though the experience solidifies her feeling that she has not 'been treated as an equal person in this country.'

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' recent "embarrassing" situation involving Victor Wembanyama's bodyguard doesn't change her mind about the athlete himself. The singer has declared that she's still a "huge fan" of the NBA star after his security hit her in the face.

On Friday, July 7, after police determined that no charges will be filed against Victor's security guard, new footage of the incident showed that the pop star politely called the 19-year-old when approaching him in Las Vegas. She is seen saying "Excuse me, sir" moments before bodyguard Damian Smith whips his arm back on her face, knocking off her sunglasses, causing Britney's entourage to gasp in shock.

In response to the video, Britney said in a statement released on her Instagram page that her reaction was "priceless." Expressing her shock, she began to write, "I've been working in the industry for years and have been with some of the most famous people in the world ... NSYNC at one point were like The Beatles ... girls would throw themselves at them everywhere we went ... not one time in my life has a security guard ever hit another person !!!"

The 41-year-old lamented that she doesn't feel she's treated equally in this country. "I'm not sharing this to be a victim ... I SIMPLY GET IT HONESTLY ... my reaction was priceless ... BAD ??? YES ... I've had documentaries done about me and none of which I approved ... I have felt helpless in most situations and my experience in Vegas and my reaction was a cry out on all levels …," she admitted.

Thus, the "Lucky" singer appreciated those who showed concerns to her when she was slapped by Victor's bodyguard. "I will say it !!! No, I don't feel like I have been treated as an equal person in this country ... of course when I watched the video myself ... the people who actually swarmed around me when they heard me get hit made me feel like I mattered !!! I wasn't aware of that at the time …," she shared.

Defending her bizarre rant after the slap, Britney acknowledged, "all people could hear was me saying f**k you all ... which was WAY BETTER THAN HITTING HIM BACK !!!" She went on hinting at her desire to move on from the drama as she said that "s**t happens."

"Either way I'm still a huge fan of the NBA player ... it's not his fault his security hit me …," she said of Victor, before concluding her message, "s**t happens !!! I hope you're all having a wonderful Friday !!!"

In follow-up posts, Britney announced that she's leaving for Italy on Saturday after the headline-making incident. It's not clear though if it's a business trip or for leisure.
