AceShowbiz - Tom Hardy has given fans a glimpse at what "Venom 3" will look like. The actor, who's reprising his role as Eddie Brock in the blockbuster Marvel superhero film series, took to social media to share the first photo from the set of the upcoming film.

In the said black-and-white picture, which was posted on Instagram on Wednesday, June 28, the 45-year-old could be seen snarling at some canine-themed graffiti on set. In the caption, he simply wrote, "V3," adding a fire, spade, 100 and a red heart emoji.

Aside from returning as Eddie/Venom, Hardy is once again assisting screenwriter Kelly Marcel with the story. Kelly herself will also direct the third installment in the franchise, as well as produce the movie alongside Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker.

Hardy previously suggested that the "Venom" story would be a trilogy. He said, "These things [usually] come in threes. If there's going to be a new one - and they depend heavily on the success of each individual one, so you can't count on them ever happening again - everyone has got to be as if it was the last one."

"But I think it's really important, if you go into something, thinking that one, two and three are the same ... the same story, the same film," he further explained. "So that you don't surprise yourself by being caught out by suddenly having to do a third from nowhere."

Eddie last made an appearance, albeit brief, in 2021's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in a Venom-Spidey crossover. "Spider-Man: No Way Home" scribes Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna recently commented on Venom's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the cameo, which saw Eddie zapped back to his own world with a dreg of the symbiote left in his wake.
