After impressing many with her gig as the oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model, the lifestyle guru brags that she and the magazine received 'a phenomenal response.'

AceShowbiz - Martha Stewart could not help but be proud over the reactions to her historic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. Less than a month after her modeling gig was shared with the world, the oldest cover model for the coveted magazine admitted that she was "astonished" by the feedback.

On Wednesday, May 31, the 81-year-old attended The Sesame Workplace Annual Gala 2023, and shared her thoughts on the positive response to her glam shots. Speaking to Page Six, she confessed, "It's been a phenomenal response." She added, "Really phenomenal, and how lucky! It was a lot of work, and it was fun, and I think Sports Illustrated and my team and I are quite astonished."

The cookbook author additionally shared to the outlet that she had to keep the exciting news on the down low for quite some time before its release. "I thought it was a big deal, but we'd been quiet [about it] for so long, I'd sort of lost interest until it came out," she stated.

This was not the first time Martha talked about her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. Nearly one month ago, the lifestyle guru made an appearance on the "Today" show to talk about what went through her mind upon receiving the offer to front the magazine.

"That was kind of a request that I've never had before," she told hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on Monday, May 15. "To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge," she continued.

Martha told the hosts that she only had a couple of months to get ready for the photoshoot. About her preparation, she pointed out, "I didn't starve myself, but I didn't eat any bread or pasta for a couple of months. I went to Pilates every other day and that was great."

"I'm still going to Pilates every other day 'cause it's so great," the former "The Martha Stewart Show" host continued sharing. "I live a clean life, anyway, a pretty good diet, and good exercise. And healthy skincare, and all of that stuff."
