After facing backlash for comforting Tom in the season 10 finale of 'Vanderpump Rules', the British restaurateur insists that she doesn't take sides amid Tom's fallout with most cast members.

AceShowbiz - Lisa Vanderpump defends herself for supporting Tom Sandoval amid his infidelity scandal. After facing backlash for comforting him in the season 10 finale of "Vanderpump Rules", the British restaurateur insisted that she didn't take sides amid Tom's fallout with most cast members of the Bravo show.
"I didn't take sides with Tom, I definitely condemned what he did," Lisa told E! News on Thursday, May 18. "You know, I can't write him off as a person because he had an affair. The way he handled it, yes, of course."
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum went on saying that she didn't want to "pile on" him since the bar owner is getting enough hate for his action as it is. "That's not what I'm not trying to do. I'm trying to tell the truth," the Bravo personality said. "Also, I feel like a mother to some of these children. So, when he's been lambasted by the whole world, what am I going to do pile on?"
She added, "No, I'm going to try and have a modicum of-not empathy, I don't have empathy-but a modicum of hope. Maybe for the future."
Lisa and Tom had a heated sit-down in "Vanderpump Rules" season 10 finale that aired on Wednesday. During their meeting, the Tom Tom co-owner had a full-blown meltdown after his affair with fellow "Vanderpump Rules" cast member Raquel Leviss was exposed. "It looks terrible in retrospect," Lisa told Tom, adding that she didn't understand how he could sleep with one of Ariana's best friends.
She later was seen comforting Tom. "It's going to get better," she said while embracing the cover band frontman. "It's been all too much, I know."
In related news, it was said that Ariana unfollowed Lisa on Instagram after she showed support for Tom. Ariana, however, was quick to clarify the reports as she commented on a post by @byewighellodrama, "Neither of us followed each other."
News about Tom and Raquel's affair broke in March. The two, however, reportedly split recently. "Raquel dipped out," an insider spilled to Page Six on Wednesday. "Sandoval is not the one for her."
Ariana, however, wasn't convinced. "I don't buy that at all," she told Andy Cohen in the Wednesday episode of "Watch What Happens Live". She went on sharing that Raquel, who is currently in mental health rehabilitation, recently sent letters to Tom to her and Tom's shared house.
"She was sending letters to my house like four days ago," Ariana, who said that she and Tom still live in the same house but don't communicate, explained. "I didn't open it. It was addressed to him and it was her handwriting. I just brought in the mail, saw it, put it on the table and walked away."
Ariana went on noting that the letter was "just the one that I know of." When Andy asked, "From her treatment facility?" Ariana replied, "I guess. I don't know."
