AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's ex Joe Alwyn is reportedly not taking her budding relationship with Matty Healy well. The British actor is reportedly very unhappy that his former longtime girlfriend has moved on so quickly following their split.
"Joe feels slighted and is distraught after seeing her budding relationship with Matt," a source reportedly with inside knowledge about the situation tells Daily Mail, adding that the "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" star "is doing his best to keep busy and focus on himself."
"Joe was aware that Taylor and Matt were making music together and collaborating. She told him that they had become friends and he trusted her," the source continued, though noting that there wasn't "overlap" between Taylor's two romances.
Taylor and Matty's dating rumors first surfaced on May 3, just weeks after news of her split from Joe broke on April 8. "She and Matty are madly in love. It's super-early days, but it feels right," a source told The Sun, before assuring, "Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover."
While neither Taylor nor Matty has publicly spoken on their relationship, the pair have been spotted together on multiple occasions. On May 11, they were spotted on a date at Casa Cipriani in New York, during which the alleged lovers were said "cuddling and kissing" as they "sat next to each other at a banquette in the lounge." They were also pictured "holding hands" during the outing with Taylor's longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancee Margaret Qualley.
On Monday, May 15, the pop superstar and the rocker were also seen leaving the Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village together. The 1975 frontman seemingly had his hand on his rumored girlfriend's back, guiding her to their car amid the blinding flashlights from photographers' cameras as they exited the studio.
