In addition to mock Will's violent act against the comedian last year, the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' host jokes about Hollywood's rampant use of Ozempic during his opening monologue at the event.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Kimmel unsurprisingly commented on Will Smith's infamous Oscars slap while hosting the 2023 Academy Awards. During his opening monologue at the Sunday, March 12 event, the comedian poked fun at last year's incident which saw the actor slapping Chris Rock onstage.

"We know this is a special night for you. We want you to have fun. We want you to feel safe … and, most importantly, we want me to feel safe," Jimmy told the star-studded audience. "So, we have strict policies in place: If anyone in this theater commits an act of violence at any point in this show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and permitted to give a 19-minute-long speech."

"If anything unpredictable or violent happens during this ceremony, just do what you did last year - nothing," the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host added. "Sit there and do absolutely nothing. Maybe even give the assailant a hug."

He continued, "And if any of you get mad at a joke and you decide you want to come up here and get jiggy with it, it's not going to be easy. There are a few of my friends you're going to have to get through first."

Will slapped Chris at the 2022 Oscars after the later joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head. In addition to slapping the comedian, Will yelled profanity at Chris after he returned to his seat. "Keep my wife's name out your f**king mouth!" so he screamed. Instead of being kicked out over his violent act, Will was honored with the best actor award for his performance in "King Richard" moments after the incident.

Back to this year's Oscars, Jimmy also joked about Hollywood's rampant use of Ozempic during the monologue. Pointing out the stunning weight loss across the room, the host said, "I can't help but wonder, 'Is Ozempic right for me?' "

Some stars were accused of using Ozempic, which is actually meant to treat diabetes, to lose weight. "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards denied the accusations, while the "Shahs of Sunset" alum Golnesa Gharachedaghi a.k.a. GG admitted to losing more than 10 pounds on Ozempic and event showed viewers how to inject themselves.
