Shaquille O'Neal Defends Rihanna From Trolls Criticizing Her Super Bowl Gig: Leave This Woman Alone

When defending the Barbadian singer from critics, the 50-year-old former basketball player says, 'All you people disrespecting my Rihanna, shut your face.'

AceShowbiz - Shaquille O'Neal has come to Rihanna's defense amid criticism over her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. Sharing a message to those trolling the Barbadian singer, the ex-NFL star told them to "leave this woman alone."

The 50-year-old defended Rih when hosting "The Big Podcast with Shaq". The former professional basketball playe said, "All you people disrespecting my Rihanna, shut your face. Shut it up."

"We livin' in a world where people got too much freedom," he added. "Keep your f**king thoughts to yourself. She did a wonderful job. She's pregnant. She blessed it. She did her thing. She didn't fall. Just leave it there. All you superstars that's disrespecting and causing beef, shut your face. Shut it up."

"If she was my woman and I seen one of you superstars do that. I'm gonna have to get at ya. Rappers. Presidential candidates - I'm gonna have to get at you. Leave this woman alone," Shaq continued. He seemingly referred to former president Donald Trump and Kodak Black, who criticized Rihanna's performance.

Shaq went on to praise the nine-time Grammy winner. He told the singer, "You did a great job, thank you. I love you. We all love you."

Aside from Trump and Kodak, Howard Stern called out Rihanna for allegedly "lip-syncing 85 percent" at the annual big event. "You know, I don't even know why she bothered showing up," the 69-year-old first said. "I gotta tell you. I love Rihanna's voice. I think it's a wonderful voice."

"And I love how she interprets a song and every song they played there behind her was terrific. There was one point where she was singing toward the end of the performance when she actually was on the stage with the band - she was singing whatever song that was," he continued. "But I would say now, again, I could be wrong, but - in my opinion, 85 percent of that performance was lip sync."
