Preston Bailey, who was the first wedding planner hired for the actress' wedding to Brooklyn Beckham, speaks out about the bride and the billionaire Peltz family in a new interview.

AceShowbiz - Amid petty legal drama between Nicola Peltz and her axed wedding planners, the actress' almost-planner Preston Bailey speaks out about the bride. In a new interview, Preston gushed over the "Transformers: Age of Extinction" star, calling her a "great" person.

Preston, who was the mastermind of Donald Trump and Melania Trump's wedding, was actually the first planner hired for Nicola's wedding to Brooklyn Beckham. However, he stepped down on March 1, 2022 because he was overbooked and it prompted the Peltzes to find another planner.

"I was overcommitted," Preston told Page Six, adding, "I couldn't deliver to the quality I was used to." When asked about Nicola and her family, Preston said, "I have the best to say about the Peltzes and Nicola. There wasn't any bad blood."

He went on to say of the billionaire family, "They are lovely people. These people are important to me. Nicola was great."

Preston's comments arrived after Nicola's father Nelson sued Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, the planners hired to replace Bailey just six months before the wedding date. Nelson accused them of refusing to return the $159,000 deposit that he initially gave them.

In his lawsuit, Nelson claimed that they had drinking issues as he said that "references to alcohol use and possible [alcohol] abuse" by the wedding planners were not "unusual." An alleged text was included in the suit from one of the planners, reading, "I'm going for a tequila my head is about to explode."

The planners decided to drop the project after only nine days on the job because they couldn't handle Nicola and Brooklyn's 500-people guest list. "The celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the anticipated attendance of many high-profile guests required that the wedding planner have the expertise and staffing to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of the expected caliber and complexity," the lawsuit stated.

The lawsuit also included some text messages that the "Bates Motel" alum sent to the wedding planners. In one of them, the actress told them that she was "tired of catching" their repeated mistakes after they said Lewis Hamilton RSVP's "yes" although he told the couple he could not attend the wedding.

"Lewis Hamilton did NOT RSVP. So explain why his names [sic] on the list please. We spoke to him. He can't come so explain why you said he rsvpd yes," Nicola said. Arianna then replied, "I need time to do this. I'm going to take a moment to learn the app and send you the information, I hate looking like a fool but I hate the most not giving you what you need ASAP." Nicola allegedly snapped back, "That's not true. He didn't rsvp AT ALL."

The Peltz family eventually hired Michelle Rago of Michelle Rago Destinations to go through with the wedding. Nicola and Brooklyn tied the knot on April 9, 2022 with several celebrity friends, including Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay, among the attendees.
