Surveillance video sees the former New England Patriots star smashing and punching a man with a bottle, leaving him with bloody face, during a heated altercation at Delilah in West Hollywood.

AceShowbiz - Willie McGinest is facing serious legal trouble. The former NFL star has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon after he smashed and punched a man during a brawl at a West Hollywood nightclub.

The three-time Super Bowl champion reportedly turned himself in and was booked on Monday, December 19 at around 7:30 A.M. after providing a statement to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. According to police, the 51-year-old former New England Patriots star was released from custody at around 9:46 A.M. after posting his $30,000 bail. He is due in court on Wednesday, December 21.

In a 2:34 video clip obtained by TMZ, a man identified as Willie approached a man sitting at a table at Delilah in West Hollywood. Willie then leaned in to speak with the unidentified man before punching him.

Several men with Willie joined in on the beating, in which he appeared to pick up a bottle and hit the alleged victim in the head with it. The punches barely stopped for around 30 seconds despite bystanders' attempts to try to separate the men from each other. The victim looked to be bloodied and bruised once the brawl stopped. He has yet to be publicly identified.

Willie, who's currently a studio analyst for NFL Network, won't be appearing on the network after the incident. "We are aware of the incident and the video, which is disturbing. Willie McGinest will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter," an NFL Network spokesperson told The New York Post.

Willie had a 15-year NFL career playing defensive end and linebacker after he was selected No. 4 overall in the 2004 draft by New England out of USC. The two-time Pro Bowler played for the Patriots from 1994-2004 and the Cleveland Browns from 2006-2008. He compiled 86 sacks, 581 solo tackles and 16 forced fumbles in his regular-season career.
