Meek Mill Shares Story of Young Thug Helping Abused Teen as He's Facing More Charges

The 'Expensive Pain' artist defends the YSL founder after the latter was hit with misdemeanor charges for street racing, reckless driving and speeding stemming from a May 2021 incident.

AceShowbiz - Meek Mill wants everyone how kind Young Thug is despite his legal trouble. Upon learning that the YSL founder has been with new charges, the "Expensive Pain" artist shared a story of the incarcerated emcee helping an abused teen.

Making use of Twitter on Tuesday, December 13, Mill shared a screenshot of an article alongside Thug's mugshot. The article that read, "Young Thug hit with new charges that include street racing, reckless driving, speeding, and more."

In his own message, Mill penned, "Quick young thug story …. It was a kid that was keeping his lights on at a detention center and kept getting in trouble … we found out he was being raped by his uncle at night so he wanted the lights on." He added, "I called thug he stayed on the phone with him til sun up on ft!"

Mill has been open in voicing his support for Thug and Gunna, who has also been indicted for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) violations. On May 12, the "All Eyes on You" spitter wrote in an Instagram Story, "Thug put on many families I seen with my own eyes... stand up for them in these times not the lit ones!"

"Labels, women, n***as... I pray that [District Attorney] be fair to them knowing what we out here tryna survive," he continued. "Thug and Gunna ain't no crime bosses, they successful rappers with influence that didn't leave their environment behind... If you bring your environment with you it's basically RICO. Watch yourself out here."

Thug, born Jeffery Williams, is facing misdemeanor charges for street racing, reckless driving and speeding. Thug allegedly drove a vehicle at 120 mph on Interstate 85 back on May 21, 2021. According to officials, the emcee also was not wearing a seat belt while racing on the interstate.
