AceShowbiz - The internet is full of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson breakup gossip after the couple reportedly split. It's now rumored that the former "Saturday Night Live" star got down on one knee and proposed to "The Kardashians" star before she called it quits.
On Monday, August 8, Radar reported that Pete asked Kim to marry him shortly before the demise of the relationship, with a source saying, "Everything was just moving too fast. Kim wanted to slow things down and instead, Pete proposed."
"He is devastated. Everyone warned him that he was going to push her away, but he didn't listen," the so-called insider added. "Remember, this is the same guy that proposed to Ariana Grande after just a few weeks. Pete learned nothing from that relationship. He falls hard and he falls fast."
The informant further added that Kim is focusing on her four kids, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West. "Kim is a great mom. She's fully committed to her kids and any man she meets needs to know that. Pete understood and was fine sharing Kim with her children, but he also wanted to get married yesterday," said the insiders.
Though neither Kim nor Pete confirmed the split speculations as well as the proposal rumors, separate sources close to the former couple denied that any proposal took place.
The former couple was first linked in October last year, weeks after Kim made her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live", where the now-exes shared an on-screen kiss. During a confessional on her Hulu show "The Kardashians", the SKIMS founder revealed that she felt "a vibe" when she kissed Pete on "SNL" and was struck by the desire to "try something different."
More recently, it's reported that Kim broke up with him due to his "immaturity and young age." A source told Page Six that the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum struggled with maintaining a long-distance relationship with him as he's in Australia to film his upcoming movie "Wizards!".
"Pete is 28 and Kim is 41, they are just in very different places at the moment," the insider told the outlet. "Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment's notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn't that easy. She needs to focus on the kids."
A separate source assured that their break up "was completely amicable." The so-called informant further spilled to Daily Mail, "They had a great time while it lasted but long distance and different priorities saw it come to an end."
