AceShowbiz - Season 24 of "Big Brother" returned with a new episode on Thursday, July 14. Kicking off the new outing of the long-running show, host Julie Chen warned that "an unexpected turn of events" changed the show's plans for the Backstage twist playing out tonight.
In the episode, Paloma could be seen trying to console Taylor even though she was player that threw Taylor under the bus. Taylor, meanwhile, wasn't sure if Paloma was her ally as the latter appeared to be convinced that Taylor would be evicted later in the episode.
When Taylor went to find out why she was being targeted, Ameerah asked her if she said she'd be coming for Monte, which Taylor denied. As Taylor started to realize that the issue was bigger than she imagined, she returned to Paloma to clarify the issue. However, Paloma refused to listen to her.
Meanwhile, Alyssa attempted to approach Monte, Kyle and Pooch to make them join her, Paloma and Ameerah. However, the group later ignored Pooch because he talked too much and went to Michael instead. As for Brittany, she thought it would be a good idea to form alliance with Pooch by throwing some of the girls in her alliance under the bus to prove to him that she could be a source of information in the future.
However, Pooch told Ameerah what Brittany said to him, prompting Ameerah to confront Brittany. Brittany lied about telling Pooch, but Ameerah knew she could no longer trust Brittany. Meanwhile, Paloma got candid about her anxiety that didn't allow her to sleep more than two hours. She eventually decided to leave the show.
Following Paloma's exit, Julie announced that the Backstage Boss twist, the battle between the house vote and one of the Backstage holders, was called off. No one else was sent home that night.
The game continued for the "Bye Bye Backstage" HOH challenge, in which contestants faced off two at a time in races for the hopes of continuing in the next rounds of the comp. Michael quickly beat Pooch and advanced to the next round. Meanwhile, Taylor beat Alyssa and Joseph won over Indy. In the next match, Ameerah edged out Brittany with Jasmine beating Terrance. Jasmine, however, suffered an injury during her match. Also coming out as the winners were Kyle and Monte.
As the broadcast time ran out, viewers have to wait until Sunday to find out who the next HOH is.
