AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Jean Elie and his longtime girlfriend. The "Insecure" star and Randall Bailey got engaged after he popped the question in a fireworks-illuminated proposal during a trip to Mykonos, Greece.

The actor, who played Ahmal Dee on the HBO series, broke the happy news in an interview with Essence. "I said, this is beautiful. It can't be anything better than this," he recalled of watching the fireworks by the water.

"I said, 'There's a lot of things I want in life, and right now the only thing I want is you. Will you marry me?' " Jean continued. "She said yes, and then she was like, 'This is f**king really happening!' I said, 'Yes, the f**k it is!' "

Before getting on his knee, Jean admitted that he "was sweating bullets all day because I knew I wanted to propose on our way to Mykonos but I didn't want to do it at the top because I felt like it was corny." He added, "I didn't want to do it out the shower because I thought that was corny, and I was like, 'Do I want to do it at dinner?' I was like, 'I don't want to do it at dinner either.' "

The newly-engaged couple, who first met at a bonfire at Dockweiler Beach back in 2015, also divulged that they have different opinions regarding how they should tie the knot. "I'll go to the courthouse," she said. "I don't care. I don't need any of the pomp and circumstance."

Jean, however, wants to have a big celebration. "We're going to have some griot, lambi, tassot. We're going to have the whole gamut of Haitian food," he exclaimed. "We're going to have Haitian music playing. Randall doesn't like to dance that much, but we've been practicing dancing some Compas. My family likes to party. So we're definitely going to have a lot of that in our wedding."

During the interview, Jean additionally revealed what makes him think Randall was the one. "We could just sit in a room and not talk to each other and just be and we still feel connected in that moment," the Boston native said. "That's how I know I found my person, and the fact that I'm willing to grow as an individual because of her."
