AceShowbiz - Kevin Hart weighs in on Dave Chappelle's attack during his recent comedy appearance. The "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" actor shared his two cents on the matter when he stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!".

Of the attacker being taken out on a stretcher after being beaten up by security, Kevin said that "it needed to happen." Kevin claimed the beating up served as a strong message regarding the line between audience and entertainer.

"Somebody ran onstage and got their a** whooped," Kevin added. "Not scary. It's one of those things that needed to happen, though…do you want people to continue to think that they can cross that line and break the barrier of entertainers [and audience]?"

"Somebody getting their a** whooped sends a message out to other people that were like, 'You know, I was thinking about doing that. But after seeing that, I don't really want to do that,' " he continued.

The comedian/actor continued, "I think that the world that we're in right now - there are a lot of lines that are being blurred, and sometimes you gotta take a lot of steps back to take a step forward." He added, "I think it's time to get back to a place of respect for your live entertainer and understand that you're coming to a show."

A guy, who is identified as Isaiah Lee, attacked Dave when the latter headlined a surprise comedy show "Netflix Is a Joke: The Festival" in Los Angeles on Thursday night, May 5. He jumped onstage and lunged at the comic, prompting them to fall on the floor before security as members of Dave's team rushed to help and restrain the man.

Isaiah pleaded not guilty on all charges while a judge set his bail at $30,000. Should he be able to post his bail, he will be under a protective order that requires him to stay at least 100 yards away from the Hollywood Bowl, Dave and any other venue at which the comedian performs.
