When responding to the allegations in an interview with CNBC, the 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' actor insists that what happened was just a 'difference of opinion.'

AceShowbiz - Bill Murray has finally broken his silence after he was accused of "inappropriate behavior". When responding to the allegations, the "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" actor claimed he's "trying to make peace" with the accuser.

The 71-year-old addressed the matter in an interview with CNBC on Saturday, April 30. "I did something I thought was funny and it wasn't taken that way," he said, noting that it was just a "difference of opinion." Without detailing what was said or to whom, he added, "As of now we are talking and we are trying to make peace with each other."

"We are both professionals, we like each others' work, we like each other I think and if we can't really get along and trust each other there's no point in going further working together or making the movie as well," the comedian further explained. "It's been quite an education for me."

The allegations caused the production of Bill's upcoming film "Being Mortal" to be suspended. A letter to the cast and crew, seen by Deadline, revealed that an investigation has been launched. "We know you are all concerned about the recent delays in production and want to give you an update," it read.

"Late last week, we were made aware of a complaint, and we immediately looked into it. After reviewing the circumstances, it has been decided that production cannot continue at this time," it added. "We are truly grateful to all of you for everything you've put into this project. Our hope is to resume production and are working with [Aziz Ansari] and [Youree Henley] to figure out that timing."

The letter also did not provide any information on the nature of the complaint or who's involved. However, a source working on the production, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the details of the matter are being kept confidential, said that the movie was shut down because of what was described only as "inappropriate behavior" by Bill.
