Contrary to what is hinted by an intense promo posted by the British TV presenter, the former U.S. president's team shares an audio tape that shows the interview ends on good terms.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump may have not walked out of a TV interview with Piers Morgan, but it's suffice to say that their relationship has turned sour now. The former president has called out the British presenter for suggesting that he stormed out of their interview.

On Wednesday, April 20, Morgan took to his social media pages to share a preview of his new talk show "Piers Morgan Uncensored". Listed as the first guest of the show, Trump appears to have a heated conversation with Morgan over his loss in the 2020 election.

"I think I'm a very nice man. Much more honest than you, actually," Trump told Morgan in the preview. "Really?" Morgan asked back. "Yeah," Trump responded.

At another point, Morgan pointed out, "It was a free and fair election - you lost." Trump maintained his claim that he won as saying, "Only a fool would think that." Morgan asked, "You think I'm a fool?" to which the former president replied, "I do now, yeah."

"With respect, you haven't produced the hard evidence," Morgan went on arguing as Trump attempted to interject. "I don't think you're real," the former president shot back.

The promo, which promises "the most explosive interview of the year," ends with Trump getting out of his seat and ordering the production crew to "turn the camera off." He was heard saying, "Very dishonest," while walking away.

In a Thursday column for The Post, Morgan recalled that Trump called him "fool" multiple times during the interview. He also said the former president described Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as "stupid" and his own vice president Mike Pence as "foolish and weak."

He further claimed Trump initially tried to end the interview by declaring, "That's it!" but remained in his seat to discuss a recent hole-in-one he scored while playing golf. After that discussion, the former president stood up with a "hateful" look and ordered the crew members to turn the cameras off.

However, Trump's team has provided an audio tape that shows the interview ended on good terms. "That was a great interview," Morgan said at the end of the audio, which was agreed by Trump.

In a statement, Trump blasted Morgan for his unlawful and deceptive editing of the video. "Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me," he said. "The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest."

Trump's spokesperson Taylor Budowich additionally told NBC News, "This is a pathetic attempt to use President Trump as a way to revive the career of a failed television host. It is also another example of President Trump being right, as he told Piers Morgan that the host was dishonest to his face and Piers, for the first time in his life, didn't disappoint."

Meanwhile, a News Corp spokesperson told NBC News stated of the interview, "We have nothing to comment beyond the public information (i.e. the video clip and Piers' column in the NY Post)."
