Dave Grohl's Daughter Performs at Pre-Grammys Event After Foo Fighters Canceled Their Appearance

AceShowbiz - Dave Grohl's daughter Violet Grohl took the stage to offer a performance at a Pre-Grammys event. On Friday, April 1, the 15-year-old stepped out in all black alongside her mom Jordyn Blum and sister Harper Grohl at the MusiCares Person of the Year event honoring Joni Mitchell.

At the event, which took place days before the 64th annual Grammy Awards, the three posed on the red carpet at at the MGM Grand Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas. Additionally, Violet took the stage to sing a cover of Mitchell's "Help Me" to honor the legendary singer-songwriter. Dave, meanwhile, was nowhere to be seen as he's still mourning the death of his Foo Fighters bandmate, Taylor Hawkins.

Violet's performance arrived after Foo Fighters announced that they decided to cancel their remaining tour dates as well as their scheduled performance at the Grammys in the wake of Taylor's death. "It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We're sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won't be seeing one another as planned," the band said in their statement. "Instead, let's take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we've made together. With Love, Foo Fighters."

Taylor was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, on Friday, March 25. An official cause of death has not been revealed as the investigation is currently underway, but Colombia's General of the Nation in Fiscalia shared a preliminary toxicology report. It revealed that Taylor had 10 drugs in his system, including opioids, marijuana and antidepressants.

Confirming the devastating passing of the drummer, the band issued a statement which read, "The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins." The band went on to note, "His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time."
