The conservative political commentator believes that she's trending on Twitter because social media users mention her as a possible candidate to replace Justice Stephen Breyer.

AceShowbiz - Candace Owens is apparently engrossed so much in her popularity that she reads the context wrong. The conservative author has been trolled online after she was mistakenly thinking that America wanted her to be the next Supreme Court Justice.

On Wednesday, January 26, the 32-year-old appeared to notice that her name was trending on Twitter. Finding it flattering, she tweeted about why her name was possibly mentioned multiple times on the social media platform, "Am I really trending because America wants me to be the next Supreme Court justice? What an honor!"

Candace Owens' Tweet

Candace Owens tweeted about why she's trending on Twitter.

Many, however, disagreed with her. Believing that Candace was misled into thinking she's America's favorite to go to the Supreme Court, one pointed out, "I literally didn't see anyone mention her. Like at all." Another similarly claimed, "Girl bye. Nobody said that!!"

A third said, "Hell to the nawh." Another also disputed Candace's claim as saying, "Nope, you're trending because people are saying you're the 'black friend' racists always say they have."

Someone mocked the talk show host, "College dropout says what? 'Am I really trending because America wants me to be the next Supreme Court justice? What an honor!' " A sixth person added, "Maybe go to law school first?"

Another sarcastically suggested to her, "Now all you have to do is graduate college, take the LSAT, get accepted to law school, go to law school, graduate law school, pass the bar exam, and become an attorney!!! Go for it, you've got a month or so!!!"

"Delusion is strong in this one but that's because there's nothing else in there," one other critic commented. Another enthused, "best joke I've heard today thanks, I needed a good laugh."

Candace's tweet arrives as people are urging President Joe Biden to nominate a black woman to replace Justice Stephen Breyer, who plans to retire at the end of the term. While the president has not named his choice, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said to reporters on Wednesday, "[The president] has stated and reiterated his commitment to nominating a black woman to the Supreme Court and certainly stands by that."
