Omarion Mourns Grandmother's Death

After the former 'Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood' star announces his grandma's death on social media, the likes of Sevyn Streeter and Keri Hilson express their condolences.

AceShowbiz - Omarion is mourning the death of his grandmother. In the wake of his grandma's passing, the "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" alum took to social media to pay a tribute to her.

On Saturday, January 22, the B2K member made use of Instagram to post some pictures of him and his "sweet nana." In the accompaniment of the post, he wrote, "My sweet nana transitioned yesterday."

"If you know me, you know this woman is my heart. Thank you for everything nana," the singer/songwriter continued, "Going to miss you so much. Thank you to everyone for all of the love, well wishes and prayers. see you on the other side nana."

Many have since expressed their condolences to Omarion. One in particular was Sevyn Streeter. who replied, "I'm sooo very sorry, she was such a lovely woman." Keri Hilson added, "Love, light, prayers. You gained an angel."

One fan joined in by noting, "So sorry for your loss, I remember the story if her delivering you." A different individual chimed in, "Seeing this news and seeing over the years how much y’all love your Nana made me extremely sad. Sending up prayers and loving energy to you and your whole entire family!"

The sad news arrived a few weeks after Omarion responded to the COVID-19 jokes that had been circulating online. The musician himself even got a message from LaKeith Stanfield (Keith Stanfield), who playfully poked fun at him in an Instagram DM. The actor said, "You ruining Christmas for everybody smh."

Reacting to the jokes, Omarion said in an Instagram video, "Hi everybody, this is Omarion. I am an artist, not a variant." He was referring to the new COVID-19 variant Omicron.

"So please be aware that if you just so happen to run into me on the street, you don't have to isolate for five days, nor do you have to have a negative test result in order to dance to my music," the 37-year-old continued. "So please, be safe, be healthy, Happy New Year."
