AceShowbiz - Dennis Rodman had a run-in with police at airport. The former professional basketball player was confronted by authorities after allegedly refusing to wear a face mask on commercial flights when he flew from L.A. to Ft. Lauderdale on Monday morning, December 20.

According to TMZ, Dennis was asked four times to put his mask back on by JetBlue staffers. The former athlete, who flew in first class, first obliged. However, he pulled the mask down. He kept lowering his mask under his chin and wouldn't put his face mask back on even when he was asked, claiming that he said that he was having trouble breathing.

Cops were waiting for Dennis when he landed. It was then said that deputies from the Broward Co. Sheriff's Office spoke to Dennis upon landing. As the 60-year-old former athlete was cooperative during the confrontration, the authorities let him go without citing him.

Neither representative for Dennis nor BlueJet have reacted to the reports.

This was not the first time for him to get into trouble with law. Earlier this month, Dennis was served legal papers by the IRS over an alleged tax debt worth upwards of $500,000. In court documents obtained by Radar back in August, the former pro basketball star owed $497,624.32 for multiple years.

He allegedly owed $26,950.06 in 2016, $392,043.02 in 2017 and $78,631.24 in 2018. Most of the debt came from the year he visited North Korea. The total amount owed on the two liens comes to a grand total of $500,966.65.

Dennis, who is the unofficial U.S. Peace Ambassador to North Korea, was in North Korea during the year where most of his debt came from. He was pretty busy in 2017 as he took a trip to see his longtime friend Kim Jong Un.
