In the Wednesday, December 8 episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" saw Heather being forced to shut down her $36K party when a juicy rumor about her friend reared its ugly head. The drama ended up with Heather announcing her exit from the show.
Things started after Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson tried to investigate a rumor about Shannon Beador and Heather's old friend, Nicole James. Shannon told Gina and Emily and Nicole once tried to sue Heather's husband Terry Dubrow. While Shannon asked Gina and Emily not to say anything to Heather, the two decided to reveal the truth to Heather.
After learning that Shannon attempted to spread malicious information about her family on national television, Heather stormed up the stairs of her mansion and told her husband that she was "leaving the show." It seemed like Terry managed to talk Heather into continuing as they were later seen reappearing and cornering Nicole.
When confronted about the lawsuit, Nicole admitted to it. She explained that it was a big misunderstanding and her agents had pressured her to sue Terry. They eventually decided to let it go because it all happened a decade ago.
Meanwhile, Heather was upset with Shannon, though the latter insisted to the former that she's a "loyal" friend. Heather didn't buy it, telling Shannon that she was "done" with her. Shannon had no choice but leave the house.
As for Gina and Emily, they invited Heather to a lunch as they felt terrible about ruining Heather's party. The three fixed their relationship and that was when Heather told the two that Shannon previously told her not to trust them, to Gina and Emily's shock.
