AceShowbiz - Singer Julia Michaels has proudly showed off her armpit hair as part of a body positivity post on social media.
The "Issues" hitmaker has shared two shots of herself posing in a white dress on Instagram, with her dark body hair on full display, and had a few choice words for her haters.
"People are always going to have something to say about you or your body. They will always try to attack you when you're feeling the most happy or the most yourself you've ever been. To that I say go eat a bag of worms," she captioned the images. "Thanks for listening and have a good day [sic]."
Julia's body positivity post has quickly drawn support from many, including one from her boyfriend JP Saxe. In the comment section, the Canadian singer gushed over her by writing, "I have many things to say about your body. 1. perfect 2. sexy 3. perfect 4. damn 5. Woah 6. [clap emoji] 7. holy wow love. 8. come cuddle 9. [heart eyes emoji] etc etc."
Her fans have also supported her decision against shaving her armpit hair. "Your body is your body, no one should ever try to change someone else, just mind your own business! Btw you are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL," one declared, while another stated, "If the body hair wasn't supposed to be there it wouldn't grow. do whatever makes you feel comfortable!!"
Julia decided to quit shaving her underarms last year (2020) as she chose to go against "social norms," and rocked her natural look on the red carpet at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
