AceShowbiz - Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli) has shared her response to a report saying that she invested in a dating app. When confirming the news, the "Cash Me Outside" raptress revealed that she is "excited."
The 18-year-old rapper shared a screenshot of a Rolling Stone headline that read, "Lil Yachty and Bhad Bhabie's First VC Investment Is a Jewish Dating App" on her Instagram page on Friday, June 4. In the caption, she expressed her excitement, "Big bag bhabie excited to be a part of @loxclub. Love and bagels bi**es."
According to a report from Rolling Stone on Friday, Bhabie and Yachty have partnered up with agent Adam Kluger to invest in a Jewish dating app called Lox Club, which has been described as the app for "Jews with ridiculously high standards." Additionally, the developers for the new love-matching app described it as "a virtual speakeasy hidden within an old-school deli."
However, unlike other apps that assist singles in finding love and relationships, Lox Club is reported to use "actual human match-makers," as per the publication report. Kluger, who helps to manage the rap stars, helped spearhead the deal as part of another joint venture with three other executives called Scoop Investments.
"J-Date screams desperation, J-Swipe is just a piece of s**t. There's a real gap in the marketplace," Kluger said. He further explained about the $1 million investment, "I was just so surprised at how cool it was. Yachty and Bhabie saw the passion when I was talking about and everyone started asking me questions. Eventually I said we should come together and do it as a group."
Lox Club was launched in late 2020 by Austin Kevitch, Alec Lorraine and Will Neild. Back in December last year, Kevitch told The New York Times, "I was going through a breakup, and when I finally tried a dating app, I felt it was superficial and cringe-y." He detailed further, "I thought it'd be cool to have one that's more self aware for down-to-earth people. The kind of people who make fun of dating apps."
On Lox Club's website, it's written that "Lox Club is a private, membership-based dating app for Jews with ridiculously high standards. The idea started as a half-joke after going through a breakup and hating the existing dating apps." The site continued, "Our goal is to help down-to-earth and ambitious people with ridiculously high standards meet each other. Because it sucks to waste time looking for them on other dating apps."
