Along with his Monkeypaw production company partners, the director of 'Get Out' and 'Us' declares commitment to continued action against systematic racism against black community.

AceShowbiz - "Get Out" and "Us" director Jordan Peele has joined the ranks of the stars donating millions to organisations fighting for racial equality.

Like many, the comedian-turned-filmmaker was moved by the recent Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd in Minnesota last month and now he and his Monkeypaw production company partners have announced a $1 million (£787,000) hand-out to multiple racial justice groups supporting the black community.

"Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions are proud to donate $1 million across five organizations we see as essential to the health and lives of Black people," Jordan wrote on Instagram. "We are committed to continued action against a system rooted in the violence against and oppression of the Black community."

The donation will benefit the Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective, Black Lives Matter, Equal Justice Initiative, Fair Fight and Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Justice Project.

Angelina Jolie and Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively recently handed over millions to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's Defense Fund to aid justice reform.
