AceShowbiz - Katie Rost went emotional in a new video she posted on her Instagram account. The former "The Real Housewives of Potomac" star tearfully talked about how she's missing her children after losing custody battle two years ago.
The 39-year-old TV personality claimed that she had not seen her three kids for almost two years. Additionally, Katie revealed that she had hired a new lawyer, in hopes of a communication breakthrough. "I'm sending my new lawyer another $41k just so I can speak to my children, just so I can talk to them," she said while crying.
Fans expressed concern upon watching the video. "I really hope she finds help. Drinking and driving in response to racism and police brutality is not the way to solve things," one of them said. Another one commented, "I guess everyone has their demons and ways of handling things. Hope she gets help."
Katie and ex-husband Dr. James Orsini share three children together, son James Rocco, and twin daughters Renee and Kathryn. They wed in 2012 before divorcing in 2016 as Katie cited a long history of physical and verbal abuse in early court documents. However, James' legal team later claimed that any allegations of abuse had been dismissed in court.
In a statement to Page Six back in March 2019, James said, "Katie Rost has begun a one-sided smear campaign against me through social media. She has made horrendous false allegations regarding our past relationship and her accessibility to the children. I have continued to abide by court orders set in place. I would love nothing more than to have the truth revealed; yet would actually prefer the lives of my children, my wife, my stepdaughter and myself to remain private."
In response to that, Katie said in July of the same year, "There's been no shift in his attitude. He's not willing to work with me." She went on to say, "There's a lot of court process still, which is extremely draining and frustratingly slow. It takes a while, but I think in the end, everything will be resolved by some more intelligent judges than the ones I had before."
Following her split from James, Katie was briefly engaged to a man named Jesse. The two called off their engagement just four months after he proposed, "We're broken up," said the reality TV star last December. "It wasn't anything too overly dramatic -- it was more so like a car running out of gas."
