Just hours after her "Outlander" co-star issued an impassioned statement about how he really felt being subjected to constant online abuse for years, the Claire Fraser of the Starz drama series reminds trolls to find something they love instead of wasting their energy on hating someone.

On Friday, April 17, the 40-year-old Irish actress took to her Twitter account to share her thought on Sam's statement. "Sad that Sam has had to come out and say all this," she wrote. "I would have thought mean b***hy behaviour would have been left in the school yard. But unfortunately a VERY SMALL but very vocal part of this fandom use their energy to write and say awful untrue things."

Noting that the bullies should instead "harness all that energy to get involved in their local charities," the "Ford v Ferrari" actress went on, "And honestly it's quite simple ... If you don't like us .. it's a big beautiful world out there. Find something you do love and enjoy that. Life as it's all too clear right now is short. Why waste it hating."

Less than a day before, Sam expressed his frustration on the false stories that had been made about him. In a four-page Twitter post, the 39-year-old Scottish actor wrote, "After the past 6 years of constant bullying, harassment, stalking and false narrative I am at a loss, upset, hurt and have to speak out. It's affecting my life, mental state and is a daily concern."

"Recently, these false claims vary from me manipulating fans, being a closet-homosexual, trying to mislead or exhort fans for money and disregarding Covid advice. I've done non (sic) of the above," he continued, adding that since the trolls constantly "created a false narrative" and "abused my loved ones" he would be "blocking anyone that writes anything defamatory or abusive."

While he was clearly fed up with the haters, "The Spy Who Dumped Me" actor was still thankful of "every fan that has supported me and the work I do." He added, "I'm so grateful, from the bottom of my heart. Stay safe and please be kind to yourself and each other. There's so much more to concern ourselves with right now."
