AceShowbiz - "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" star Joe Exotic has now got the attention of Donald Trump , thanks to his son Donald Trump Jr. After Trump Jr. weighed in on the former zoo-owner's prison sentence, the president has now stated that he will look into Joe's request for pardon.

During a White House briefing, a New York Post reporter asked Trump about his son's support for Joe's pardon. The president didn't seem to be aware of Joe and his case as he asked back, "I know nothing about it...he has 22 for what? What did he do?" He then asked for the reporter's opinion, "You think he didn't do it? Are you on his side? Are you recommending a pardon?" before adding, "I will take a look."

Previously, Trump Jr. talked about Joe and the Neflix documentary series during an appearance on SiriusXM's "Jim Norton and Sam Roberts" radio show. "It's pretty amazing," he said of the show. When one of the co-hosts pointed out that Joe has asked for a presidential pardon, Trump Jr. asked, "I have heard that, is that true? You guys really want it to be true, don't you?"

Getting more serious about it, the 42-year-old businessman continued, "Now, I don't even know exactly what he was charged with... I watched the show, but it was like, I don't know exactly what he was guilty of or wasn't. It doesn't seem like he was totally innocent of anything." He then added, "But when they're saying, 'We're putting this guy away for 30 years,' I'm saying that seems sort of aggressive."

Joe was sentenced to 22 years in jail in 2019 for 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of murder for hire, for a plot to kill Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin. He issued a call for pardon from the president on March 19 via Facebook, asking to be freed and demanding a combined $94 million from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, his former business partner Jeff Lowe and several former colleagues.
