The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner in Florida has listed his death 'an accident' as a 'result of opioid toxicity (heroin),' but it's noted that the substance could be other than heroin.

AceShowbiz - Tyler Gwozdz died from an accidental overdose. Nearly two months after "The Bachelorette" alum tragically passed away at the age of 29, Florida's Palm Beach County Medical Examiner uncovered that the cause of his death was "a result of opioid toxicity (heroin)."

The medical examiner's reports listed Gwozdz's death as "an accident," and further disclosed his girlfriend's admittance that he consumed heroin some time prior to his death in January. "Given this information and a lack of admission specimens for testing his death is best classified as Opioid Toxicity (Heroin)," the papers obtained by E! News read.

The reports additionally suggested that amendment could be done in the future. "It is possible that the offending agent could have been a different substance than heroin. However, given the circumstances it is best classified as such. If additional information becomes available in the future, it will be evaluated, and if needed the cause of death amended," it continued detailing.

According to The Sun, the autopsy reports have also mentioned that the Hannah Brown suitor in season 15 of the dating show had been addicted to the narcotics since he suffered a knee injury in his high school days.

Gwozdz was found unresponsive in a locked bathroom of his female friend's home in Boca Raton, Florida back in mid-January. When police got to him, he was alive but in a critical condition. He was soon transported to an intensive care unit for what was believed to be a drug overdose. He passed away a little over a week later.

In the wake of Gwozdz's death, the "Bachelor" producers issued a statement of condolence. "We are heartbroken to hear the tragic news of Tyler's passing today. Our thoughts are with the Gwozdz family and his friends," their statement posted on the Bachelor Nation blog read.

Fellow contestant Luke Stone also paid a tribute to the late TV personality. "I lost one of my closest friends today - Tyler I'll miss you every day, miss our hours long conversations about nonsense over the phone, miss how damn funny you were, I had so much happiness and joy for what the future held for us as friends," he tweeted. "I love you man, so much."
