When expressing his disinterest in reprising his role as Finn on any Disney+ spin-offs, the 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' actor names his conditions for a return to a new movie.

AceShowbiz - John Boyega has ruled out appearing in any "Star Wars" streaming TV spin-offs.

The British actor plays stormtrooper turned rebel Finn in the recent trilogy continuing George Lucas' science-fiction saga, the final part of which, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", hits screens later this month.

This winter has also seen a new TV spin-off, "The Mandalorian", starring Pedro Pascal, launch on the new Disney+ streaming service - but John says he's not interested in starring in anything that isn't released in cinemas.

"I ain't getting no Disney+!" he tells Variety magazine. "I'm watching it, though, but I'll stay in the feature films."

Disney chief Bob Iger recently announced the "Star Wars" films would be placed on "hiatus" while the firm focused on TV projects, meaning John is unlikely to return to the franchise for a while - but says he would return if co-stars Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac agree to a new movie.

"As long as Daisy and Oscar are down for it, then I'll come back," he says.

Both are reluctant to, however, as Isaac, who plays ace pilot Poe Dameron, says: "I'm happy and feeling fulfilled that the task is complete. So I can't imagine what it would be that would make me want to redo this thing or revisit it."

Ridley, who stars as the central hero Rey, adds: "I just don't know if anything could top this one, honestly. I think it's just a great story and a great close, and even though obviously the characters continue to exist, it would have to be so extraordinary (to return), and I don't know if that's possible."

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" debuts in cinemas on 20 December.
