Defending the Roc Nation founder for entering into a partnership with the league, the 'Down on My Luck' rapper says he believes that 'Hov's intentions are in the right place.'

AceShowbiz - While many have been criticizing Jay-Z for signing a deal with NFL after the league banned Colin Kaepernick from getting rehired by any team for three years, Vic Mensa has not lost his faith in the hip-hop mogul. In fact, the 26-year-old rapper thinks that Hov is making a way for Colin to get him back on the field.

Jay-Z has been rumored to have a "significant ownership interest" in an NFL team in the "very near future." Should this be true, Vic believes that Jay-Z will recruit the 31-year-old former quarterback for his team.

"I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn't get a job with Hov being in the NFL," he told TMZ when met at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood. Defending Jay-Z for partnering with NFL, he added, "We know the NFL is a slave game, so to have a black man in there ... especially a black man with a socially conscious responsibility, cause i know that's how Hov feels, man ... I believe that Kap gonna get that job and I believe that Hov's intentions are in the right place."

Vic is clearly crossing his fingers that Jay would be buying an NFL team because it's a good thing for black people. The "U Mad" hitmaker claimed that "s**t's gotta change" in the NFL and that Jay-Z's the guy who would make it happen.

Also commenting on Jay-Z's deal with NFL, Irv Gotti said, "It looks awkward, and I'm gonna give Hov the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully we'll see where Hov is taking it." He carefully added, "But on first glace, him and Roger sitting there, and Roger not saying nothing, and Jay is doing all of the talking …"

Jay-Z previously defended his deal with the league. "There [are] two parts of protesting. You go outside and you protest, and then the company or the individual says, 'I hear you. What do we do next?' " he said. "For me it's like action, [an] actionable item, what are we gonna do with it? Everyone heard, we hear what you're saying, and everybody knows I agree with what you're saying [in Colin's underlying message.] So what are we gonna do? You know what I'm saying? [Help] millions and millions of people, or we get stuck on Colin not having a job."
