While the famed tenor is quick to refute claims against him, the Philadelphia Orchestra has also rescinded an invitation for him to appear at its opening night concert.

AceShowbiz - Bosses at San Francisco Opera have cancelled an upcoming Placido Domingo concert in October (2019), amid fresh allegations of sexual harassment against the beloved tenor.
The show was booked to mark the 50th anniversary of the singer's links to the California company, and he was billed as "one of the most influential singing actors in the history of opera," but his appearance has been axed.
"The company is committed to its strong anti-sexual harassment policy and requires all company members to adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct," a statement reads.
On Tuesday, August 13, officials at Los Angeles Opera, where Domingo has served as general director since 2003, announced they were investigating claims made against him.
The Philadelphia Orchestra has also rescinded an invitation for Domingo to appear at its opening night concert next month (September 2019).
Domingo was quick to address the allegations, stating, "I believed that all of my interactions and relationships were always welcomed and consensual."
Eight singers and a dancer told the Associated Press that the 78-year-old sexually harassed them from the late 1980s onwards. One accuser alleges Domingo stuck his hand down her skirt and three others said he forced wet kisses on their lips during incidents that took place in a dressing room, a hotel room and at a lunch meeting.
