AceShowbiz - Robert F. Kennedy's granddaughter Saoirse Kennedy Hill has died aged 22.
Saoirse, the daughter of Robert and wife Ethel's fifth child Courtney, passed away on Thursday, August 01, a family statement confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, on Thursday, but Saoirse, a communications major at Boston College, was later pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.
Her family said in a statement, "Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse. Her life was filled with hope, promise and love."
Grandmother Ethel added, "The world is a little less beautiful today."
Further details about the nature of Saoirse's tragic death have yet to be revealed.
It's the latest tragedy for the Kennedy family. Saoirse's grandfather Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1968 - just five years after his brother John F. Kennedy, then the President of the United States, was shot and killed in Texas.
