Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke confirms, at the Television Critics Association press tour, they have closed an exclusive deal with the former 'Gossip Girl' star to develop the TV show.

AceShowbiz - Blake Lively has signed a lucrative deal with Amazon Prime for a new scripted fashion TV series.

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, made the announcement at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Saturday, July 27, and confirmed they have closed an exclusive deal with the 31-year-old actress to develop and produce TV shows for the streaming giant.

"It took a long time but we just closed our deal with Blake," Salke said. "We closed a first-look deal and we're talking and developing a show. It's not ready...".

News of Lively's partnership with Amazon first surfaced in October (2018), and Salke revealed that the "Gossip Girl" star has pitched a scripted TV series set in the fashion world.

"It's set in New York, there's a fashion component," she added.

The pregnant mother-of-two is also in talks to bring another project to life with Amazon Prime, but Salke kept those details under wraps.

"There's another (project) that's around a piece of IP (internet protocol)," she teased.
