Describing his co-star in the 1991 movie as 'an Irish drunken bully,' the 'Mr. Holland's Opus' star admits during a video interview with Yahoo! that he 'didn't talk about' the incident for years.

AceShowbiz - Richard Dreyfuss has claimed Bill Murray was a "drunken bully" on the set of their movie "What About Bob?" - and even threw an ashtray at him.

The pair co-starred in the 1991 movie, which told the story of psychiatrist Leo Marvin, played by Dreyfuss, who takes on a new patient, Murray's Bob, and tries to help him with his neediness and phobias.

Recalling one of the most worrying points of his career during a video interview with Yahoo!, Dreyfuss said: "I didn't talk about it for years. Bill just got drunk at dinner. He was an Irish drunken bully."

The 71-year-old added that, when he and Murray had returned from dinner, the comedian asked him to read a script tweak he found amusing.

"He put his face next to me, nose to nose. He screamed, at the top of his lungs, 'everyone hates you. you are tolerated'," Dreyfuss recalled.

The "Ghostbusters" star then allegedly tried to make things physical by throwing a glass ashtray at his co-star's face.

"There was no time to react because he leaned back and took a modern, glass blown ashtray and threw it at my face (from just a few feet away)," Dreyfuss continued. "It weighed about three quarters of a pound and he missed me. He tried to hit me, I got up and left."

Murray has yet to respond to Dreyfuss' allegations.
