AceShowbiz - KISS star Gene Simmons will no longer have to fight allegations of sexual battery in court after his accuser dropped her lawsuit against the rocker.
The unidentified plaintiff claimed she was a dishwasher at the opening of his Rock & Brews restaurant back in 2016, when the bassist allegedly groped her vagina during a photo opportunity.
She launched legal action in Los Angeles in December (18), seeking unspecified damages, but according to The Blast, she filed new court papers on Wednesday, April 24, requesting the case be dismissed with prejudice, preventing her from trying to sue again at a later date.
It's not clear why the Jane Doe decided to drop the suit, but the motion suggests the dispute has been settled behind closed doors.
The case will be officially closed once the judge overseeing the suit signs off on the request.
The news emerges months after Simmons reportedly settled a separate lawsuit with another woman, who came forward in late 2017 and accused him of inappropriate behaviour at another Rock & Brews launch.
The 69-year-old firmly denied the allegations, and the case was dismissed last summer (18).
