AceShowbiz - Country star Brantley Gilbert is set to become a father for the second time.
The "Bottoms Up" hitmaker's wife, Amber, is pregnant with a daughter, a little sister for their 16-month-old son Barrett.
The couple shared the news of the baby's impending arrival at a recent gender reveal party, where Brantley, Amber, and Barrett pulled the string of a large box to unleash pink balloons, balls, and confetti - indicating they are having a girl.
The discovery was an emotional one for the pair, especially as Brantley was convinced they were having another son.
"Oh, I cried!" he smiled to People.com. "I was so sure it was a boy. I wasn't ready for it to be a little girl...! I just wanted a healthy, happy baby, but a little girl means a whole other deal."
"I know I have so much to learn. You even diaper them differently, so I'm gonna be learning a whole lot of stuff from these books Amber reads - and I can't wait!"
And Brantley is already prepared for his daughter, who is due in September, to become a real daddy's girl. "I am just mush with Barrett. But I'm getting to where I'm OK letting him tough it out," he said. "I think a girl is going to be a whole new level of everything, and I'm ready. I already know she's gonna own me, and that's OK."
"There is nothing like it," he gushed about fatherhood. "And as great as you think it's going to be, it doesn't come close to how it really is. To think it's happening again is wild."
The couple wed in 2015.
