AceShowbiz - How you doin', Wendy Williams? After taking a break from TV show for almost three months, "The Wendy Williams Show" host returned to her iconic purple chair on Monday, March 4. She was greeted with a rousing standing ovation from the audience before she explained things that people have been curious about.

The 54-year-old assured the audience that she's "doing better now." She went on saying, "Let's get started, because apparently, I'm a Hot Topic."

Wendy admitted that extending the hiatus was never a plan. "We were supposed to only be off for two weeks for Christmas vacation... I started to feel thyroid issues," she shared. "They're still adjusting my meds,” she said. "I'm the kind of patient, if I cough, I'm thinking, I'm dying … I can't even tell you how many doctors I have. They pushed me in there, I get the MRIs and then I get the catscans. … You know, I'm 54, and not for nothing even though you feel 25, honey you know."

"I have a plethora of doctors. And I'm happy to tell you that I am doing swell," the TV host told the audience. "And then you know it's not a big thing for Kevin [Hunter] and [son] Kevin to come with me for doctor's appointments. … So we were spending time as a family, the Hunters … and I just wanted to take some time for myself … you know I am my own best friend."

Wendy also addressed marital issue rumors surrounding her and husband Kevin as it is said that Kevin is cheating on her and physically abusing her. Shutting down all the rumors, the candid star said, "I want to shout to my husband. I'm still wearing my ring."

"Believe me you, when you've been with somebody for 28 years...married for 25 years...we know each other," she added. "He's my best friend, he's my lover, he's all this and he's all that. I know what you've been seeing and I know what the streets have been talking about."

She later showed a throwback photo of them "before any plastic surgery" as a way for her to "show you who I fell in love with and who he fell in love with." The photo featured Wendy looking different than now, though she noted that "it's still me in the head and I am still very much in love with my husband."

Setting the record straight, Wendy said, "Anybody who's been married for 5 minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages are not easy. Don't ask me about mine until you see this [ring] gone and it ain't going anywhere--not in this lifetime."

While many fans were ecstatic with her TV return, some of them were disappointed in the daytime TV queen with the way she handled the rumors of her marital issues. "Fan of #WendyWilliams but am disappointed that she isn't being real REAL. I know a few publicists who gossip and what you've read online is pretty true to what occurred behind the scenes. Her crew did NOT miss her; her man is mean and messy and she was PANICKED," a fan wrote on Twitter.

Similarly, another fan tweeted, "I agree! I'm a huge fan and hugely disappointed that she didn't give us the REAL tea #WendyWilliams." One person also believed that her absence had nothing to do with her health issue, writing, "So she's still blaming her absence on being sick. I'm done. #WendyWilliams."

"Thank God she's well & healthier but her audience deserved the truth. If she didn't spill tea for a living I would respect her privacy. But she's being hypocritical and I can't respect that. Your loyal fans deserved more. She lost another viewer in me. #WendyWilliams," another comment read. "Come on @WendyWilliams we would have respected you more if you would have spilled your OWN TEA like you do everyone else's this is DRY we're past Jussie #WendyWilliams," one other added.

Back in January, Wendy's family released a statement saying that she would be taking a break from TV as she was focusing on getting herself recovered from Graves' disease and a fractured shoulder. During her absence, "The Wendy Williams Show" enlisted multiple celebrities including Nick Cannon and Jason Biggs to host guest and serve as panelist.
