AceShowbiz - Rock 'n' roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis is recovering after suffering a minor stroke.

The "Great Balls of Fire" singer was hospitalised in Memphis, Tennessee on Thursday night (February 28), his representative tells TMZ, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

"He looks forward to getting back into the studio soon to record a gospel record and (get) on the road performing live for his fans (sic)," the rep says.

Lewis, 83, hasn't cancelled any shows due to his health issues and plans to hit the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for a show in April.

Jerry Lee isn't the only celebrity in hospital after suffering a stroke this week - actor Luke Perry is also under doctors' care at a Burbank, California health centre, with the former 'Beverly Hills, 90210" star having fallen ill on Wednesday morning.
