AceShowbiz - Things don't look good for NeNe Leakes and husband Gregg Leakes. In a new sneak peek for Sunday, February 17 episode of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 11, the reality TV star is seen driving her husband, who is battling colon cancer, to hospital for a surgery. However, instead of staying beside him, she leaves him to undergo the life-threatening surgery alone.
"While you're in surgery, I'm gonna leave," she tells Gregg who looks sullen. She explains that she has some stuff to do including organizing her store. Greg only responds with a big sigh.
He then asks Nene if she's nervous, to which she replies, "Uh-uh, I just--." Greg tries to pry some more details about what stuff she needs to do that she has to leave him alone for the surgery. However, NeNe deflects and just says, "Just stuff." He asks again, "What kind of stuff?" though NeNe just shrugs and proceeds to ignore him.
Eventually, NeNe leaves and Greg will be going through the surgery process all by himself.
Meanwhile, NeNe points out the issue in their strained relationship. "Before Greg was diagnosed with cancer, he wasn't happy," she reveals in a confessional. "Am I happy? Are we truly happy together?" she continues, adding that all this "has nothing to do with cancer."
This is such an unexpected progress in their relationship. In February 10 episode of the Bravo series, NeNe broke down in tears during her and other Housewives' trip in Tokyo after she read a touching message from her husband which came with a massive bouquet of flowers.
"Mrs. NeNe Leakes, you are for me. When you are in pain, I hurt, too. Forgive me, my errors, and let me drown you in my love. Hurt no more, for I feel the pain I inflicted on you," the note read. "Let me back in your heart so that I can touch it and mend our love as we continue to grow with each other. I love you so much, your husband, friend and biggest supporter."
