A Utah doctor claims the 'Avengers: Infinity War' actress crashed into him while skiing in February 2016 and fled the scene, leaving him with a brain injury and four broken ribs.

AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow is slapped with a $3.1 million lawsuit for an alleged "hit-and-run ski crash." Terry Sanderson, a doctor from Utah, claims the actress caused him serious injuries after she crashed into him while skiing at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, on February 26, 2016.

According to court documents filed on Tuesday, January 29 in Utah state court, Sanderson says the Pepper Potts depicter in Marvel Cinematic Universe "skied out of control and hit" him in the back. After she "got up," she allegedly "skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured."

Sanderson says he suffered from "permanent traumatic brain injury," four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement due to the accident. The doctor said in a press conference on Tuesday, "I remember feeling very sore, and my brain felt like novocaine, I felt really numb." Sanderson says Paltrow left him injured on the mountain and didn't sent help. Luckily, his friend was nearby and helped him.

The doctor also claims a Deer Valley ski instructor, Eric Christiansen, who accompanied the actress, filed a false report saying Paltrow did not cause the crash to protect her, even though he didn't see it. Sanderson remembers the instructor screaming at him and accusing him of causing the crash.

A witness who saw the crash, however, supports Sanderson's story. During the press conference, Sanderson's attorney played a video of the witness who said he "saw Gwyneth Paltrow hit him in the back" and landed on Sanderson's back.

Paltrow has denied the allegations, saying in a statement released by her company Goop and her rep, "This lawsuit is completely without merit. Anyone who reads the facts will realize that."

Christiansen, Deer Valley Resort and two unnamed resort employees are also named in the lawsuit. A spokesperson for Deer Valley Resort said the resort couldn't comment on pending legal matters.
