AceShowbiz - Billy Ray Cyrus performed a song he wrote for soldiers of the Vietnam War at a service for a slain police officer killed in the line of duty.

Officer Natalie Corona was shot and killed last week (ends January 11) as she responded to a three-car crash in California.

Cyrus offered to perform the track at her memorial at the University of California, Davis on Thursday, January 17 after reading about the tragedy.

He called Corona "a light in this world that won't be forgotten".

Police are still investigating the motive for the attack. The gunman took his own life after shooting Officer Corona.
