AceShowbiz - Queen Elizabeth II's husband Prince Philip has escaped uninjured after he was involved in car crash, during which his vehicle overturned.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 97, was behind the wheel of his Land Rover as he exited the Sandringham Estate royal residence in Norfolk, England on Thursday, January 17 and collided with a smaller car.
Emergency services were called to the scene, where Norfolk Police officers performed field sobriety tests on both drivers, as is standard procedure. Both tests were negative for alcohol or any other substances.
The female driver of the other car and a passenger were briefly hospitalised for minor injuries.
The Prince was not hurt and has since returned to his family's winter retreat, where he has been checked over by a doctor "as a precaution," according to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson.
