During an interview on 'Good Morning Britain', Thomas Markle expresses his disappointment that he hasn't got any response from the Duchess of Sussex despite his daily texts to her.

AceShowbiz - Thomas Markle has gone on British TV to plead with his daughter Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex to respond to his texts.

The retired TV lighting director's relationship with the former "Suits" star fractured after he caused several controversies in the lead up to her wedding to Britain's Prince Harry back in May (2018).

Interviewed on U.K. breakfast show "Good Morning Britain", Thomas revealed he is texting Meghan, 37, who is pregnant with his grandchild, every day - but she has not texted him back.

"I'm very disappointed by it," he said of their rift. "I'm not sure why it's happening and I'm waiting, I'm reaching out. I've been trying to reach out to her for several weeks. Every day I try to text her. I just haven't received any comment back. I just keep asking her to respond back to me. I haven't got any response back. I've sent a letter as well."

Her estranged dad confirmed that he had never met his regal son-in-law, and is also not speaking to his ex, Meghan's mother Doria Ragland. He went on to say he was being "ghosted" and asked his daughter and her husband to reach out and heal the family dispute - which began after he was caught staging paparazzi photographs in the lead up to the wedding.

Asked what words he'd like to say to Meghan and Prince Harry, 34, he said, "I love you very much, you're my daughter and I'd really like to hear from you. Whatever differences or problems we have we should be able to work them out, we're family, so please reach out to me."

Thomas claimed his daughter's failure to speak to him was out of character as she was generally "polite" but blamed their lack of contact on Harry and Meghan believing bad stories about him published in the press.

He went on to express his hope that when the dust settled on their family feud, he'd be welcomed back into the fold and would get to meet his grandchild.

"I'm certainly hoping that everything goes well and they produce a beautiful baby and I'll get to see a little Meghan or little Harry," the 74-year-old added. "That would be very nice and I look forward to that happening. I'm hopeful. I think it should happen."
