AceShowbiz - Unlike Jenna Dewan, Jessie J just can't take it lightly when she is compared to another woman because she thinks all women are pretty in their own ways. In response to the ongoing stories about their similar appearances, the British singer shared a lengthy Instagram post on Friday, November 16.
In her post, Jessie admitted that she usually ignored any news which involve her name on it because it wasn't something worth to be responded for. However, when people started picking which one is prettier between her and Jenna, she couldn't help but speak out about it because she didn't feel good over the story.
"Who feels good from this story? I know I don't," the rumored girlfriend of Channing Tatum wrote on the photo-sharing platform. "Is picking who is prettier and then continuing to say why a good activity for women to participate in? No. I'm talking in general too. Beyond this story. It's constant with women. Picking favourites. Do the media do it with men? No."
She went on insisting that news about comparing female celebrities to each other "are not inspiring women supporting women but mostly women ripping other women down." She also expressed how "disappointed and embarrassed" she was to see her name being included on the story. "It's not something I stand for, at all," she noted.
The "Flashlight" hitmaker didn't stop there, adding that these kind of stories would affect young girls in a bad way when they should be comfortable with their own skin. Pleading the media, Jessie wrote, "I ask the media again to realise the power in which you have in changing the world. How you can help the younger generations grow up to be nicer to themselves, and to each other."
Concluding her post with a positive note, she said, "We are all BEAUTIFUL. We are enough just the way we are. Be the best you!!! You can't wake up and be anyone but YOU. So please love your face, your body, your mind and your heart. Be good to yourself. And to those around you."
Jenna previously responded to the comparison through an Instagram comment, simply writing, "positive vibes all the way" with a blowing a kiss emoji.
