The disgraced comedian hires Brian Perry and Kristen Weisenberger after Joseph Green withdrew as his representative in his fight to overturn his sexual assault conviction and sentence.

AceShowbiz - Incarcerated Bill Cosby has lost another lawyer as he fights to overturn his sexual assault conviction and sentence.

Joseph Green has withdrawn as a representative for the disgraced comedian after just four months on his legal team.

Court papers filed in Pennsylvania on Friday, October 12 reveal "The Cosby Show" star has already hired new lawyers Brian Perry and Kristen Weisenberger to replace Green, who had handled the case for the actor's sentencing hearing.

They will work alongside Peter Goldberger, who recently lodged documents appealing Cosby's guilty verdict and three to 10 year prison punishment. Goldberger is the actor's fifth primary lawyer.

The 81 year old began his stint behind bars last month for drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004.

He has always denied the allegations, insisting the sex was consensual, but Cosby has also faced dozens of similar historic accusations from a string of other women in recent years.

Green was initially hired in place of Cosby's high-profile legal leader Tom Mesereau, who joined the comedian's team in August, 2017. His efforts - and those of his fellow attorneys - failed to keep the embattled star out of jail, and the funnyman was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault during a retrial that ended on April 26.
