AceShowbiz - Gal Gadot is close to signing a deal to take on the role of movie icon Hedy Lamarr in a new cable series.
The "Wonder Woman" star is also keen to executive produce the Showtime series, based on the life of the late actress.
Lamarr was born in Austria but forged an amazing Hollywood career thanks to hits like "Comrade X" and "Samson and Delilah".
She was also an inventor and created a frequency-hopping signal, which led to the creation of WiFi and GPS.
"The Affair" co-creator and executive producer Sarah Treem is in talks to write the limited series, and produce alongside Gadot.
