Also among the stars who take to the comment section of the Disney alum's post are Sam Smith and Luis Fonsi.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez and Macklemore are among those showing support for Demi Lovato following the singer's heartfelt post on her suspected overdose.

The star was hospitalised on 24 July, after being found unconscious in her Hollywood Hills home, and has been recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, August 05, the Cool for the Summer hitmaker broke her silence on the matter via Instagram.

"I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction," she wrote. "What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet".

She also thanked her fans for their support and medical professionals for their efforts while she has been hospitalised.

"I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well," she continued. "To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time. I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time. Without them I wouldn't be here writing this letter to all of you".

Several celebrities were quick to comment on Lovato's message.

"Oh baby... sending you love," Lopez wrote.

"Sending love Demi," wrote Macklemore. "I've relapsed many times. The recovery community has always welcomed me back with infinite love and support. Always here for you. One day at a time".

Sam Smith also joined those encouraging the 25-year-old.

"Beautiful woman xx inspiration to millions x," Smith said.

"Much amor Demi," Luis Fonsi added. "We love you".

The Confident singer celebrated six years of sobriety earlier this year, before confessing to her fans that she had relapsed in new song Sober, which was released in June.
