AceShowbiz - Former wrestler and reality TV star Matt Cappotelli has lost him battle with cancer, aged 38.

The fighter won the chance to wrestle in a development league for the WWE after starring in the MTV series Tough Enough, but his career was cut short after he was first diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent surgery in 2007.

A decade later, the tumor returned, and he had a second surgery in June, 2017.

Six moths later, doctors determined that the remaining tumor was inoperable, as it was so close to his brain stem.

His wife, Lindsey Cappotelli, announced his death in a Facebook group dedicated to him.

Today my love-my strong, sweet, beautiful love-took his last breath at 3:30 a.m. and went Home to be with Jesus...exactly one year after his brain surgery. You think you can be prepared for this when you know it’s coming, but you just can’t. The only person who’s comfort I want right now is the one who can’t give it to me....I miss him so much already. I know where he is now is so much better, but it doesn’t change how much I miss him. It's so much harder than I even thought it would be. #graceisgreater
