The British indie rocker was diagnosed with the disease in October 2016, and fans donated more than $265,000 (£200,000) to fund drugs after he was denied treatment from Britain's National Health Service (NHS) due to genetic incompatibility.
Since then, Greg has kept well-wishers updated via social media and on Tuesday, May 29 he announced he would marry his long-term partner Stacey Heale later this summer.
The English singer, 41, made a romantic gesture by posting his and Stacey's first photograph together on Instagram, and told fans in the caption, "Stace and I will be tying the knot towards the end of August."
Referencing his band's biggest hit, Greg wrote that the marriage had been a "long time coming" and shared that his three children would dress up as film characters for the big day.
In a joint interview with The Southern Daily Echo earlier this month, Greg and Stacey revealed that his treatment was progressing well and that his tumours were shrinking.
"The results were better than I'd envisioned. I feel very fortunate," Greg said, before thanking all those who'd helped fund his cancer fight.
"I never feel I can find appropriate words to say how grateful we are for people's generosity, not just in terms of donations but also the kind messages we receive," he continued. "I can't imagine what it must be like not to have that emotional and financial support."
